Michael Montgomery

Mike is perhaps the world's foremost authority on player piano rolls and early blues. He has been a consultant for many important projects, including a recording of the hand-played rolls of George Gershwin. Also a sheet music collector and ragtime historian, Mike has presented symposia and seminars at many ragtime festivals and is a regular contributor to several music history publications. He is also a fine pianist and singer, and particularly enjoys leading sing-alongs as he displays his romping-stomping "piano roll" playing style.
